Bautizate!!!

Hey!!!!

Well another week in the offices! but like always it was really good, and slightly stressful, and a little sad but it was a good week.  Well i will start with the sad part... this week two of the missionaries from my group that came here with me went home this week, well one went home and the other is going home on monday.  but luckily being in the offices i get to go with them to the airport and say goodbye to them before they really leave.  but the elder that already went home was really sad cause he was such a good guy, and i was supposed to go to the airport with him but plans changed last minute and i ended up not going aand so i never got to said goodbye, but oh well...

Well now a little bit more about the good things that happened this week! well first of all we finally found someone to teach!!!! we haven´t actually taught her yet but we found her in the street on thursday and sadly she is leaving this weekend but we have a lesson set up with her on monday night.  she really seems like she could progress but i will let you know how it goes next week!! then things in the office are normal and we are keeping busy.

Then on p day last week, we went walking a long the coast line looking at little shops and fun stuff like that and we ran into this really cool naval museum with all this random stuff outside, like a huge boat so we decided to have some fun and take some photos of me elder xavier and elder cuessy and elder briceño, it was a nice p day.

But ya that was about it this week, i don´t really know what to write about but that is about all that happened, oh and we found out that elder Bednar is coming to the mission in Febuary (the 27 i believe...) and he will be coming here to the offices for an entire day!!! i don´t know what we are going to be doing or if we are even going to be there, but im still super excited!!! but that means we got some cleaning to do! ;)

But anyway thanks for everything! love you guys!

Jan 23, 2016 Letter

Hello everyone!!!

Well this second week as one of the secretaries has been a lot less stressful than the first one and i have been able to actually get a good amount of sleep ;)  but this week was super awesome! We had a world wide mission broadcast on wednesday from Salt Lake and Elder Anderson, Elder Bednar, Elder Oaks, and a couple of other people gave some talks about the missionary work and it was absolutely amazing! The topic of the broadcast was "Teach Repentance, Baptise Converts" and after hearing the conference, me and my comp left to go do some contacts and we felt like we were going to baptise all of Uruguay! unfortunately we didn´t.... well at least not yet :)  But Elder Bednar gave an amazing talk about the importance of the spirit in the conversion of the converts.  And he said something super interesting.  He said that a lot of the times we think of the spirit as a "tool" that we use to help people come unto Christ when really the spirit is the teacher and we are the instruments, and how we need to be humble and recognize that.

Also these week, my comp Elder Briceño started his driving lessons! everyday in the morning we go to driving school and he is learning how to drive! its kinda scary cause he has never driven anything but a motorcycle in his life, and our teacher is just like hop in the front seat and lets go! but he is learning fast and i am hoping that he learns quickly!

Other than that, nothing much is going one here... we are trying to find some investigators to teach, but we still haven´t found anyone, all our proselyting time consists of knocking doors and contacting people in the street and we have been able to find plenty of nice amazing people, but no one who is willing to listen to us! but we will find someone!

Hope you guys have a great week! thanks so much for everything!! Love you guys!!

Offices!!!!

So this was my first week as the secretary of the mission and it has been the most stressful week of my mission!!! so i showed up on Saturday and immediately we started preparing for the changes on Tuesday--Wednesday.  so what we had to do for these 2 days is make sure that the new missionaries got here on tuesday and then we took them through the whole new missionary orientation, then on wednesday we had to help them get them to their new areas with their new comps and make sure that all the other missionaries in the entire mission that were going to be changed got to there new area, which was a huge mess but luckily everyone made it to their new areas! then wednesday night we had to get all the "valiente" missionaries catch their plane to go home, and it was so unbelievably stressful that and being in the airport with missionaries that are going home is awful!!! all you can think of is when it is your turn to go home, its hard. And on top of all that we got about 2 hours of sleep wednesday night!! so this week has been super stressful but super awesome all at the same time!

Luckily i have a super awesome comp who has help a ton during this last week, his name is elder briceño and he is from tornillo, peru. and honestly during all the crazy stuff we had to do during this last week, we haven´t been able to get know each other really well but he is awesome and i am super excited to be able to work with him for these next 2 changes! but anyway that was my week, i hope you guys all had a great week, love you all!

Surprise!!!

hey everybody!!!

Well last night, friday, we got a huge surprise! i show up with my comp elder padilla from working and we had a great day and were feeling super good about the work here in a colón, and we show up and the assistants are in the house! so we are just talking for a little bit and then out of the blue they ask to have a personal talk with me... long story short, they asked me to be the secretary for the mission!!! starting right now! so i am here in Carrasco, where the mission offices are, i packed up last night and i left early this morning.  so ya for the next six months i am going to be enjoying a nice air conditioned office as my area! :)  but i am kinda sad to be leaving colón after just 3 months...

But the most important thing that you need to know is that my P-day is now going to be on saturday.  i don't think they are going to give me much time today to write or send any photos just this one letter, but i will talk to you guys on saturday!!!

Love you all!
